RECYCLING FOR THE FUTURE

What To Recycle

RECYCLING IS EASY, JUST LIKE 1, 2, 3!

1. Know what goes in your recycling container

Use the recycling guide to find out what items can be recycled!

2. Remember: Always Empty, clean, and Dry!

Recycling sorting begins with the removal of any non-recyclable items and sorted by hand. This is why it is very important to be mindful of what we put in your recycling.

3. DO NOT BAG IT!

Remember to never bag your recyclables, materials should be placed in the recycling bin loose. Remember if you followed step 2, there should not be any need to bag your items.

WHAT CAN BE RECYCLED

If the items you're trying to recycle are not pictured below, you should NOT place them in your recycling bin.

Remember, when in doubt its best to leave out.

WHAT CANNOT BE RECYCLED

Not everything can be recycled, even if it's made up of recyclable materials. Plastics like clothes hangers, grocery bags, and toys aren't always recyclable in your curbside bin.

The images here are items we've found in the recycling line that should NOT be recycled. Please do not recycle these items as.

Other things that cannot be recycled are cups (ie. waxed beverage cups, styrofoam cups, cutlery, and paper plates), containers (ie. pesticide containers, oil containers, paint cans), glass bulbs (ie. windshield window glass, mirrors, light bulbs, pottery, ceramics), toilet paper (ie. toilet paper, paper towels, wipes, and other personal hygiene), and plastic bags (ie. plastic shopping bags, grocery store bags, and shipping bags).
